Midad ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal note-taking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID user identifier and, if you choose to share it, your email address. We use this solely to authenticate your account.
• User Content: Notes, reflections, and folder structures you create within the app. This content is stored securely in our cloud database to enable sync across your devices.
• Photos & Images: Images you attach to notes or scan for text recognition. These are processed on-device or uploaded to our secure storage when saved to a note.
• Audio Recordings: Voice notes you record within the app. Audio is transcribed on-device using Apple's Speech framework and stored in our cloud if you save the note.
• Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytics events (e.g., feature usage counts) to improve the app. These events do not contain personal information or note content.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the app's core functionality (creating, storing, and syncing your notes)
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To process subscription purchases and manage your entitlements
• To improve the app through aggregated, anonymous usage analytics

3. Third-Party Services

• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage to store your account data and content securely. Firebase Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (via Firebase) with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. When you delete your account, all associated data (notes, reflections, recordings, and personal information) is permanently removed from our servers.

6. Children's Privacy

Midad is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (available through the app)
• Export your notes (available through the app's export feature)
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Contact us with questions about your data

8. Tracking

Midad does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not share your data with data brokers or advertising networks.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
